Prior to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the online system of learning was just for mostly school is only for higher education. Since the pandemic, all school-going ages/levels switched to online learning. Teachers and students are using computers or mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones with the help of the internet to learn. Now, online schools cover kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, high school, and universities.
For students of secondary and high school, they could adjust and adapt more quickly. In the age of the secondary and high school, students are independent. They could operate gadgets for online learning. But, for kindergarten and primary school, students couldn’t operate it by themselves. They would need supervision and help to enjoy the benefits of online learning. Their parents must prepare online devices for them. For instance: a cellphone, laptop, computer, tablet, etc.
Another thing that needs to be considered is that every school day, for several hours, children must go online to attend classes. Apart from being bored and monotonous, children are forced to constantly face electronic screens. This condition is very unhealthy for the eyes.
Teachers and parents should realize these problems together. Teachers and parents should find solutions to overcome these two problems. Online schools are forced and temporary conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic. If certain areas are improved, a normal school should be restored immediately while still preventing Corona transmission. Don’t forget, preventing the transmission of other diseases are also important. Call it dengue fever, influenza, malaria, and other infectious diseases.
